Why is our Constitution interpreted in different ways?
It's kind of like that other great book, the Holy Bible, isn't it? Maybe we could understand the problem better if we substitute the word “Constitution” in place of the words “a beautiful woman” in this Dr. Hook song:

It's kinda not. It's not a book.
Constitution: about 4400 words.
Bible: about 807,000 words across 1200 chapters.

not to mention the lost chapters which were excised by various church officials because they didn't like what was in them.
