No Hi-rises!! Parisean law. The one in the distance was an exception and took forever to get approved.

Paris is just so gorgeous, and is one of my favorite cities on earth. Full of little nooks and crannies waiting to be explored, and interesting cafes and bars, the people are just terrific.

I have never understood American sentiments of "they are so rude and hate Americans." Everyone I met was kind, helpful and full of good humor. I just had to keep apologizing for George W being in office.

I remember one afternoon when all the restaurants were closed and I hadn't had lunch a young couple, proprieters of an intimate bar, opened their doors for me and she actually went upstairs (where they lived above the bar) and made me a sandwich and brought me a beer. While their dog sat at the foot of the bar, we had a good long chat (broken english, broken french) about politics and life in general, and I am forever grateful for their hospitality.

It's a must see!
