I remember seeing this movie back when it was in theaters. "The Bear" (USA title of the French "L'ours") won an Academy Award for its incredible editing. All of the footage in the movie was carefully staged by trained living animal actors. The adult bear (Bart) has a pretty amazing IMDB resume.
That was so touching. I was just watching so intently and rooting for the little bear. I loved how he was just rolling in the grass playing, showing his belly and being so innocent. My cat Sayeh shows me his belly and I love his innocence and the simplicity of him. My little guys keep me laughing all the time. Daisy, my Maine Coon has these stuffed bunnies that I have on my bed and every night, he comes on my bed and kneads them before he falls asleep. I will admit I was crying at the end when he was reunited with his mommy. It did get me to thinking of my mom and how during really hard stuff, she was there. I loved how the mom cleaned his nose and he was kissing her back. I just love the innocence and simplicity of animals. I have another cat Jake who someone abandoned on my doorstep and I took him in because my landlady was going to live him outside to freeze on the steps in December. It took me a week to win him over but now he tucks his little head under my chin and yesterday, he just wanted some comfort so he climbed in my lap, stretched out with his paws over my shoulder and fell asleep. He got down when he was comforted enough. When he first got here, he was so scared, he attacked me. I laid on the floor in the room I had him in so he could approach me on his own terms. Now, he follows me everywhere. He even follows me when I take a shower and will come into the tub if I let him. He reminds me of my Joshua who died three years ago. Thanks for sharing this Charles. I talked alot but I love how animals keep it simple. Plus, when my mother died, I came in from the lunch after going to her funeral and was making myself tea. Sayeh knows when I make tea, I flick the wrapper for him to play teabag wrapper baseball. He came right up and wanted me to flick the wrapper for him and it didn't occur to him that his mommy wouldn't do that. I thank God for my little ones.

That's Salma Hayek as the Cougar and John Goodman as the Bear. No humans were hurt in the making of this film.
