This is one of the two best Christmas songs and the other is Paul's song-"Wonderful Christmastime"- an entirely different take on Christmas, just as wonderful, and very happy and joyous, like Christmas should be.
For years and years, I would cry (or work to keep from crying) every time I heard this song - which for many years was OFTEN.
I will always associate it with his assassination, as it came out right at that time.
Now, I don't hear it as often...and it no longer hits me quite as hard.
But that took a LONG time, eh?
