R.I.P. BUZZY
Alan Kaufman, the man known as Buzzy to most of Boston's late night munchie-seekers died on October 20 at the age of 72 in Florida. Buzzy spent most of the last thirty years on Maui, HI and moved to Miami, FL over a year ago to get medical treatment. Buzzy's Roast Beef was a Boston landmark, well-known for its greasy french fries and mouth-watering roast beef and barbecue sauce- a veritable oasis in a town which normally rolled up its sidewalks at 11 PM. It will be cherished and remembered by Boston's students, all-night partiers, truckers, late-night club-goers, cab drivers and musicians alike for years to come.

I miss his boneless rib sandwiches. Rumor has it that when the Charles street Jail was still in operation, some escaping prisoners would come over the wall by where Buzzy had his picnic tables.

I believe I still have some Buzzy's trapped in the walls of my colon. I'll carry it with my head held a little higher today.
