Running Blue-Dog Lackeys of the “Kill Healthcare in America” Movement
They are the sleazy underbelly of the Democratic party- and more dangerous than all factions of the GOP combined.
Bill Kristol: “Public Option is Better- but not for Americans”
Check out the great comments from both sides:
“I am all for creatively finding a way to make sure the private sector is protected and allowed to remain competitive and profitable; even if this means regulating the Govt insurance option- just like the FCC regulates the media and the NFL regulates football.
I am also in favor of controlling the costs of malpractice insurance to medical professionals; and for the creation of a panel of overseers which would decide who can sue and how much they can sue for- a board which also controls the amount of money which can be sought in malpractice suits.
There is a way to do this- but not unless the naysayers turn into “maybe-we-can” sayers. I don't see that happening, given the rhetoric out there right now. I vote for you, Jay. The Wingies on both sides are not going to get anything done.”

One of the startling realities of this campaign for national healthcare is that the opposition has no ground to stand on.
The scheme of this economic recovery is to raise up the lowest, poorest class of American society. Healthcare, education and employment opportunities for this sector of our society is what will bring us to stable recovery. Folks like Kristol never see their greed and inhumanity when they look in the mirror.

should everyone in the United States have health care? yes. should those of us who can afford to pay more for those who cant? yes. should the goverment make me quit my hmo and sign up for their plan? NO! I totally understand bringing up to par those who need it, but, I dont understand taking my health insurance coverage away? So i guess what i am saying squeak is by you saying the opposition has no ground to stand on are you saying my concern as outlined above is not valid? will the government actually provide better care the beth israel? My father spent months in a V.A. hospital before he died and if that is the standard of care anyone who gets sick is in big big trouble. I cant help but feel that there is more to this then helping the lower rung of society move up. for the record the argument of the right wing that we are going to have socialized medicine isnt valid because medicaid is socialized medicine as it is and the way i see it this reform will drastically cut medicaid coverage. also what about all of the employees of the private health insurance companies in the U.S. who will be out of a job if the bill passes as is in five years when it will be illegal for anyone to buy or sell private health insurance?

I didnt hear that anywhere it is in the text of the house version of the bill HR676 that says no coverage shall be offered by private insurance that is covered by the government plan. I read it in the bill I am curious to know where you read in congressional text that You get to keep your coverage?

You get to keep your coverage - if you want it- Private Health Insurance will grow.
The VA will need all kinds of doctors and all kinds of technology. I know- I work in a VA hospital. The US is not co-opting or replacing anything- It is developing a NEW way to deal with health care. not old-
NEW. The big caveat is your congressman-

if someone could show me the text in the bill that ammends the statement no private coverage shall be offered that is offered by the governments plan i will feel like we are making the worse better and the best the same until i see it i will consider this better for some and worse for a whole lot more. i have another question i had a friend that was dying of cancer at the brigham and womens hospital and some sheik was there and he had an entire floor dedicated to the care of his son. he was there because the care was world class and i am afraid that when this is over the brigham wont have that distinction. rest assured Jim McGovern hears from me daily along with sen. kerry hopefully it does me some good

First we offer the “public option” supported by tax increases on the rich (that’s an easy sell). Private insurance companies with their profits will never be able to compete with that. Soon all private insurance will be gone. Then with a government monopoly we can control everything. How do we reduce costs? We set prices on all services and drugs, squeezing all of the profit out of the drug companies, cutting doctors pay (but not malpractice awards), after having gotten all of the profits that were going to insurance companies that might be enough to cover the costs. What if it doesn’t? We go for more tax increases, deficit sending and rationed care, but only if necessary.
This is the conversation that is going on in congress that they are afraid to tell us because the public would not buy it.
Pelosi, Reid, Frank and maybe Obama all believe that the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers and doctors make too much money. It is an all out assault on the capitalist system. The profit, risk, investment, innovation cycle that is at the heart of our economy has generated so many of the breakthroughs in heath care. That is why people from all over the world go Boston and the rest of this country for treatment. Where do the profits go? Mostly to the 401 (k) and retirement accounts of middle class workers
