#9. Everybody smoked and drank when they were angry, when they were happy and when they were pregnant.
#8. Everybody multi-tasked as they smoked while cooking, working, eating, drinking highballs, making salad, peeling potatoes, vacuuming floors, chopping onions, reading in bed and blowing smoke rings in the car while making love- all at the same time.
#7 Men came quickly- efficiently- and with a minimum of groans
#6 Women didn't have time to come- and when men came, the women held on tightly as they stared up at the sky..
#5 Kate Winslet is a really good actress.
#4 The movie had more predictable foreshadowing than The Marx Brothers at the Opera
#3 This movie is a must-rent for those who believe they cant get enough grief and tsuris from watching CNN.

The neighbor's son scene was one of the most intense movie scenes I've witnessed in a long time.
This movie played like it was next door to the Drapers.
wonderful.
my advice is to go to Paris.
