Your remarks are sick. NO ONE puts themselves in a position to justify a thought of statutory rape on their own children. Do you have kids? How would you like the thought of a bunch of sick people laughing about them being raped while broadcasting on TV?? Again there is nothing funny about rape. All jokes have to have an element of truth for it to be funny. Letterman crossed a very sick line and for anyone to come to this mans defense says a lot about your own opinion on how society should view female children. "Obama's children appear to be normal? So you can't talk about raping them?

What is not normal is that you justify a vile thought of rape on a child being tolerated on national TV and how this should be swept under the rug and dismissed as a "train wreck" Put politics a few notches below your moral compass and I pray this changes your mind.

Charles - how many comments is Robbie allowed? He's always making three or four, and the last ones are always lectures/rants aimed at someone who doesn't agree with him. Can we get some guidelines on what opinions Robbie will allow on this blog? He's the main reason I don't come here much anymore.

Bottom lines:
1. David Letterman fucked up.
2. Rush Limbaugh, Don Imus and many others (left and right)have also fucked up in this category.
3. Letterman is paying for this dearly, including among many who normally share his own political philosophy. Even being called out by N.O.W. (see link in above comments.)
4. As far as the “hate” comments go, there is enough to go around from both sides of the aisle on this story. Time to move on (although I'm sure many people won't).
Anyway, I'm turning off these comments and cleaning up the blog floor now.
