Just Thinkin'..
Long after others in his administration have gracefully made their exit, Vice President Dick Cheney is still in the spotlight, criticizing President Obama on FOX News interviews every few days. This might just be because..
If Attorney General Eric Holder moves forward with an investigation as to whether there should be prosecutions on the tortures authorized during the George W. Bush era, guess who would be #1 on the list?
(hint: It would not be George W.)

We can only hope. He's such a snake, he'll slither out of it anyway.
Love to see the International Court in Hague get him, though. An international trial, broadcasted, would be ... oh, so much more fun.

If this comes to pass - I guarantee
the Teaparty will turn into a Tea Riot...
I've already heard one wacky talkshow conservative equate Obama's determination of waterboarding as an open door to terrorism.
But I'd take a different approach if I were Holder.I would let the international community (like spain!) take Cheney to court, while censuring him and his administrative cronies here and not restricting extradition.
Blowing up Iraq under false pretenses-is- to me - a war crime. Indeed, Saddam Hussein was a bad bad man, but he was not justification for the murder of over 100000 people by American forces.

How DARE anybody criticize Obama!
Oh, and what ever happened to "looking forward"?

Dear Jay:
Our President says he's “looking forward..” That doesn't mean the rest of us who voted for him have to forget what war criminals do that they should be accountable for.
(Google Article 7 of the Geneva Convention rules, and find out why it's in our best interest in the long run to adhere to them no matter what the other side does; or would you like to disband that treaty, as well, to suit your own Neocon needs?)

Gitmo is a tar baby -- keep it open and the left will accuse you of torture, close it and the right will accuse you of coddling terrorists -- esp. if some detainees get released and are caught taking violent action against U.S. personnel. I would talk about closing it but leave it open -- which puts me in good presidential company...
