I am not feelin this trio. Jim, ok. I can maybe get on the bandwagon with Sean...but Benicio? Don't get me wrong, he's hot, and I have thought of him in that kinda way, if you et my drift... but not as a stooge. My vote for he third one is Charles!
why not just put the Farrelleys in front of the camera? maybe Pacino can be the machine-gun toting gorilla and DeNiro the car-driving bear? and to squeak; i like steve martin...that said, there is NO new Pink Panther!
I don't think the Farrelly Bros are going to do a movie solely about the "shorts." It will probably focus more about their escapades off-screen. I'm sure some of you are aware that people who are funny in front of the camera or microphone are some of the most miserable people you don't want to be around, i.e. Letterman, Steve Martin & countless other actor/comedians. Also, when this project was first announced years ago. I was doing afternoon's in Providence, the Farrelly's home state, and we discussed on-air who could play the Stooges. My first choice for Larry was... Sean Penn. Apparently somebody was listening.

Larry David as Larry, and K.D. Lang as Moe?

It'll be interesting to see Benicio rip out a hunk of Sean's hair. I wonder if Sean will learn to play "Pop Goes The Weasel" on the fiddle.
