The King of the Nightwaves
“Larry was an automatic when I was driving home from a concert, a movie or a party. His wise-cracking voice would stay with my car from one end of New England to the other; a late-night companion with no equal, and an absolute must for helping smiling at-home listeners go to sleep and for keeping night-time drivers awake and entertained. Larry also was one of the major inspirations to help me quit smoking those nasty cigarettes! Good work, Larry! You were a mentor and one of a kind.”

Charles --- You've said it so well. Those of us who rallied around the radio dial knew there was no better friend after midnight than Larry.

Jerry Williams followed by Larry Glick. Doesn't get much better than that. Very well put, Charles.

Of course, what Larry was to nighttime radio, there was someone else just as legendary and historic in Boston morning radio.... we all know who I'm talking about. (Matt Siegel, obviously.)

Hi Charles, I'm Larry Glick's brother, Ed, and I'm writing to tell you about a Memorial Award that's been established at Emerson College in Larry's name. If there are any of your posters who are interested in keeping Larry's name alive, they can send their contributions to Emerson College, Larry Glick Memorial Award, 120 Boylston Street, 7th Floor, Boston, MA 02116-4624. Emerson suggests making a note in the memo section of the check that the gift is for the Glick Award. It's designed to help students at Emerson who are working toward careers in radio. We feel that Larry would have approved the purpose of this award which has been established in his name.
I was deeply touched by the comments I read about about Larry.
