Vincent Donofrio (the other one) a friend of mine who is a big Boston sports fan living in the land of the Lakers just sent this to me.

I would like to share with your blog readers the strong belief I have that there is someone the Boston Celtics need to sign in order to have a chance of winning another title this season.
Right now they are talking of signing the Knicks' Stephon Marbury. That's cool- sign him- but you cant win a championship by simply adding Marbury. You have a good point guard in Rondo..what you dont have is a good man in the middle. Perkins and big Baby are not even adequate centers. If they were white they'd already be out of the league ( not trying to be racist here).
Someone who's available right now is Brad Miller of the Sacramento Kings. He is exactly the type of player the Celts need at center. He's 7', 260 lbs, excellent shooter (50% career) 9 rebounds and 4 assists( great passing center ala Walton .)
He's also very rowdy and will knock you on your ass. He's not afraid of anyone.
The best thing that could have happened to the Celts this regular season was losing twice to the Lakers. This will wake people up to the fact that they have to do something quickly or they are done for. Danny Ainge has to get off his nervous behind Is it possible he's doing drugs these days? (Please don't start that rumor as he deserves better, but he is sure acting frightened).
I dont' think the Celts will make it out of the East if they don't add a real center ( think 7'4 Llgauskis of Cleveland or Dwight Howard of Orlando)

1. Ainge is a fairly strict Mormon. Ain't no drug thing happening there, for sure.
2. The Celts barely lost the last game to the Lakers in overtime. They are as good a team this year as they were last year- and it is possible they won't play the Lakers again this season because the Lakers may not even make the finals!!
3. and I also disagree with Vinnie about Perkins- He is a winner and a class act.

what a crushing loss to the lakers in overtime just goes to show how vulnerable the celtics are
if that ray allen shot had gone in
maybe we should get rid of ray allen and get someone who can make that shot 100% of the time and then we won't lose!

"Perkins would be out of the league if he were white"? That has to be the dumbest statement I've ever read. Can you provide some reasoning to back your ridiculous comment?
