“Republicans are not reliable partners--at least, not for the moment. Most are stuck in the contentious past, rutted in Reaganism, intent on taking a Hooverist course on the economy (although there remains cause for optimism on foreign policy).”

I gotta say- Through this whole mess of Economic restructuring I have only heard hyperbole and criticism from the Republican/Conservative side. They just aren't coming up with alternate solutions and they'd rather be sitting in the stands than on the playing field- G. Bush throws out a tax break and they say YAY- Obama (for the 4 weeks we've had him) comes up with a MASSIVE rescue plan with tax breaks and they go all complainey. WTF? This is exactly why the GOP sucks donkey kong. Send them all to Russia.

I am a Republican and I think we need a rescue plan.. no question. I just don't want to see more pork in this bill than on the average Denny's Grand Slam breakfast!

"This is exactly why the GOP sucks donkey kong." I thought they just liked being hit in the head with large wooden barrels being the masochists they are. (It's a Donkey Kong joke Charles, I know most of you who remember the Hoover administration have know idea what that is)

Let's define pork, earmarks, etc-
Pork is when a gambling casino gets cash
in a bill for education reform.
(please see no child left behind legislation)
Earmarks are specific entities to get funding from associated financial legislation.
(like a Clinic getting money from healthcare funding)
Donkey Kong is like getting hit in the head with a wooden barrel FILLED with Pork. Not too great if you're a muslim or a jew if this thing breaks apart.
I prefer the Electrolux administration myself.

It's in the Republican's best interest that Obama fails...just as it was the Democrat's best interest that George W failed. Politics sucks!
