Phoenix Rap A Hoax???
Joaquin Phoenix's reported leap from acting to rapping may not be all that it seems. Sources close to him have told "Entertainment Weekly" that Phoenix doesn't actually aspire to have a career in music. One source, who recently worked with him said, quote, "He said, 'It's a put-on. I'm going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers and Casey is going to film it." A second source confirmed that, quote, "It's an art project for him. He's going full out. He probably has told his reps that he's quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control." Despite the suggestions that his rap career is a hoax, it remains unclear what exactly is motivating Phoenix. On January 16th, Phoenix performed three rap tracks in front of a crowd at Las Vegas' LAVO night club. Phoenix's brother-in-law, Casey Affleck, was in the crowd recording the performance for a documentary about Phoenix's career change.
**He must think someone cares!

Maybe he's having an alcohol induced nervous breakdown and it's not an act?
