See This One Coming from a Mile Away

(Lose/Lose situation for Obama)

Top ten things Republicans will say if the stimulus plan is successful:

1.“The economy was going to turn around anyways- That's how capitalism works.”
2. “I was just following the will of the voters.”
3. “It's not working! ! What about this part?”
4. “I had to go along with my constituents...”
5.“It would have happened faster if you had listened to us.”
6. “Well, define 'successful'....”
7. “It could have been done for so much less in a real bipartisan way."

8. “"Without the concessions we forced on the bill it would have taken much longer."

(Your comments for the rest- I'll post the best.)

"It would have happened sooner if we had okayed a tax break to the rich and tax rebate checks, to the middle class, like we did during the Bush Years."

the stimulus will succeed in the further bankrupting of the u.s. treasury

fasten your seatbelts as we observe the worst economic times of our lifetime

obama is destined to fail as there really is no other solution than a total collapse

we will survive but with great pain

i hope i am dead wrong!

"It's really because of the great policies Bush left in place at the end of his administration."

"Without the concessions we forced on the bill it would have taken much longer."

"We were like Lemmings following Bohner, now we know to think for ourselves."

"He never would've gotten his bill passed if he didn't have that ridiculous 76% approval rating."

- Rep. R.Winger [R-$$]

I know what I am going to say. "It's nice that we have a quick, short term solution. Isn't it too bad that the Democrats used this financial crisis to stifle debate and bullshit the public into accepting all of the spending that has nothing to do with stimulating the economy. We will be paying for this with high inflation and interest rates for the rest of our lives, not to mention a very slow recovery. It could have been done for so much less in a real bipartisan way."

The backbone of the stimulus is to stem
the amount of Job Loss and provide infrastructure initiatives(including Green retrofits) -it will also provide financial and education incentive to help our lowest
class move upward- in this process it's more likely to help our economy than to just give tax breaks to the squandering greedy wealthy (that ain't me - but I ain't starving either) . We have had 8 years of republican tribulation-time for change-
if you don't like it- I think Russia is looking for capitalists to make investments there.
