As someone who deals with (certain) people's hardware and software problems
everyday- I fail to see any reason in hacking one's phone software unless you actually lived in a place where the phone
"sponsored" cell service isn't available.
I equate it to modifying a surf board to
ski down Chamonix.

But be warned that when your 'jailbreak' your phone to use this, it may be difficult/impossible to update the phone's software in the future.

This particular pwn, as the post says, lets you use your iPhone 3G as an Internet server.. “Why would you want that?” you ask?
If you travel a lot, and are paying AT&T or Verizon a hundred bucks a month to get connected to the Net from an airport in Houson or from a suburb in Ohio, you can definitely use this feature!

Oh I do know what it does- I just think it's
entirely a geek tweak and though the pwn
folks might help Apple think differently-
I really think this is there because it's a mountain for geeks to climb.
BTW. 2.2.1 is out and so is a pwn update-
