Keith speaking quietly and not throwing anything. (Pretty moving, actually...)

I was feeling pretty moved and I was thinking about how he said look in your book of choice and you wont be able to be religious and against the ban on gay marriage (I am para-phrasing please no splitting hairs) then I thought of a bumper sticker that read you can't be catholic and for abortion. I do feel if two men or two woman want to marry who am I to get in the way. Keith actually makes the most compelling and articulate argument for gay marriage I have ever heard, if the g.l.a.d. people are smart he should be the new spokesperson on this issue for them. I just hope the nambla people dont try to use the law as a precident if gay marriage becomes legal everywhere.

The laws covering how OLD people should be to marry are different than the ones
discerning gender distinction. Similarly-the argument that laws will be passed for people to Marry their dogs or goldfish if same-sex marriage is allowed would have to be legislated. I'm kind of in favor of abandoning laws that recognize religious or otherwise ceremonial marriage
across the board- let it all be a civil legality and have the "ceremonial recognition" be performed by the appropriate religious or non-religious
ceremony. I mean c'mon folks : Church and state- supposed to separate?

I would never support a law that took away anyone's rights. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

And to think he has the worst ratings on TV...go figure.

Marriage in the church was started only 300 years after the church started. I researched church history after getting burned by a particular organization who called us to be righteous all the while using contributions to buy second homes, cars, vacations, concert tickets and other luxuries while they called US to sacrifice. A person was considered your spouse when you took them into your home as such. The church thing came later. So the so called "sacrament of marriage" is a sham anyway. What I REALLY hate is that they label these people as sinners and treat them like dirt yet, other people sin and they are accepted. Like that whack job minister who protests at the funerals of soldiers because "they are dying for a nation that supports homosexuality" I have YET to see him object at that grave because that soldier is dying for a nation that has people who lie and steal. He doesn't say a word about that. It's just hatred spewing and it makes me sick. I will say that I used to be the worst but have learned alot since that bad experience. I strive to not be that snotty again.

supreme court justice david souter said in his government hearings "i would rather have the right to do something than to have the right to stop someone from doing something"
