100% Cure for Cancer

A blog reader just sent me this... and it sounds too good to be true- so I Google it and I research and I snopes it and I try to debunk it every which way that I know of.. and I keep coming up with the same answer: Is this the real deal?
If so- Why can't we get it? Work with me here, people.

Charles, I have a Dr. friend who does genetics/cancer research. I sent him the link for his opinion. Will let you know what I get back.

Charles. The answer is M-O-N-E-Y. Cancer is a big money maker. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer, the calculator in the doctor's head goes bezerk. Apologies to your doctor friends.

Almost a year ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. At first it was devastating. With the help of my fantactic family, a wonderful team of doctors (Dr. Kenneth Anderson at Dana-Faber and Dr. Barry Cuiffo in Brockton, MA) along with my decision not to be beaten by this disease, we began the fight. After six months of oral chemo and a stem cell transplant I am cancer free at this point.

I retired after 35 years of teaching and now I am back subbing, riding my mountain bike and looking forward to getting in more than the 10 days I got in skiing last season. I had cancer, cancer didn’t have me!

From the first meeting with each of my doctors their concern was getting me back to my “normal lifestyle cancer free”. They didn’t see a cash cow sitting in front of them, they saw a person!

I find the comment by Laureen offensive. She should talk to people who have battled or are battling this disease. It sneaks up and takes your normal life away while you undergo chemo and all the side effects. It has been my experience that every medical person I have come in contact with to be sincerely caring about ME not how much money this visit would bring in.

This disease has changed my life for the good. I am taking time to enjoy life more because I realize what a gift it is. Laurenn, I hope that you or any of your loved ones never has to go through this battle. The next time you decide to make a post, I hope you listen to your heart, not you sphincter.

Hey Chuck,
I have to agree with Lareen, money is the answer here.A company will make ALOT more money surpressing the symptoms and making people feel better rather than making the disease go away.

You make a good point, Laureen. A doctor is a health consultant, to be heeded or disregarded according to the patient's lights. I instinctually distrust doctors, but that's just me:

I have to echo the comments by DonB. Many doctors are dedicated to taking care of patients and saving lives. I also have personal experience at Dana-Farber. These docs are my heroes. Please read this on Brian Druker, MD if you've lost your faith in medicine. He pushed the drug company to bring Gleevec to market. I am alive today because of his research.

Personally I would dismiss everything in that article as bogus. Keep in mind the big TV infomercial sales outfit that is now finally getting prosecuted by the Feds for selling 100% cancer cures on television (Coral calcium was one). This thing is just the foreplay to some marketing.
