Fact Check Update

A misleading NRA ad claims Obama voted "to deny citizens the right of self-protection."

Comments

Talk about misleading....

“it didn't become violent until the male homeowner went downstairs and started firing before calling police.”

Really, what was “the male homeowner” thinking trying to protect his life and property?

“The ad fails to mention that the issue was a local handgun ban that made the homeowner's gun illegal to keep in the house.”

So Called Fact Check neglects the FACT that such laws are Unconstitutional.

“What Obama voted for was not any general repeal of the right of self-defense, but to uphold enforcement of the local gun ban, a "petty offense" that carried a maximum penalty of a $750 fine.“

That’s EXACTLY what he was trying to do. Since when do local laws trump the Constitution?

WHEN SECONDS COUNT THE POLICE ARE ONLY MINUTES AWAY!

So, Danny
Do you think he's trying to take your guns away?

Let me get this straight. I read the article. This local law enforcement or local government can say that this man does NOT have the right to bear arms? Since when did certain states or cities cecede from the union. They fine this guy for defending his home. Granted, he should have called the police first but sometimes the police can't get there before harm comes to you. This person who proposed that ban probably lives in a highly secure environment and doesn't have a clue about the real world.
