For the most part I remember most of that stuff.The only really good things were the Lincoln Logs and Beenie and Cecil things.My brother and I played the Beenie and Cecil game(with pull string hand puppet) for hours and never got bored with it.I'm also not as OLD as you CCCCHHHHUUUUUUCCCCCKKKK!

God, I loved Erector sets. I still do. Why aren't they still made?
Flashbulbs were fun too. Getting your fingers burned was the price of indoor photography.

Erector set parts, as I remember, were always cutting my fingers. Even the metal suitcase it came in was full of sharp edges.

When I got a better set, it came with an electric motor, I remember I almost burned down the house when I shorted it out.

Besides thousands of hours of play the toy did give me a basic understanding of structure and fastening that I was able to use later in life.

I too loved Erector Sets.
