Laying the groundwork of excuses for Hussein Obama's failure. Raising taxes and super-sizing government will fail as it always does, and he'll have a convenient fall back-"my predecessor left us in a terrible position". True, the war was wrong and is an albatross, but prior to the last 6 months the economy was great, unemployment at all time lows, and Bush's spending on education, healthcare, and the environment far exceeded Clinton's. Yet the libs will paint a different story when "Spare Change We can beleive in" is elected. When nothing gets done with a liberal prez and liberal majority in Congress, who is to blame?
Neither party has done much to protect and develop our economy in the last five decades, so the super wealthy have nothing to fear from a new administration.
The last six months are just the beginnings of an unravelling of a national economy where we all live beyond our means. If you go to Economyincrisis.org you will get an alternative to the Bush soundbites that our "economy is strong" and "the fundamentals are good". The wealthiest one percent count on us to be too lazy or dumb to actually explore these statements. (Go to FAQ)
It would be nice if the Dems and Obama would actually try to take long-term actions to fix the problems, but I'm not holding my breath.
