I don't know -- I find this type of shit on the Internet just plain discussing, in an expected and boring way ...
I mean, if something like this is done with humor, surprise or even in a video-classy way it might be taken as somewhat worth the time it takes to watching it ...
but this is just boring ...
(and in today's world not that original).
A waste of time and Internet energy ... I've seen better.

Let's address your concerns, point by point, Ten 44:
1. the humor was indeed there- if you are a fan of the ongoing Corona commercials.
2. The element of surprise was definitely there- No way I saw that one coming!
3.Boring? Maybe- depending on how long the "surprise" goes on.. I timed it at 15 seconds- Way too long for the bit to last. (One point for you)
4. Video classy? Not! (Two points for you.)
5. Okay, I vote we ask C to take this post off.. (Why do I get the feeling you are a woman?)

Let's see...1 Beer bottle shared between 2 + 1 Cheep boring date + pounding, crashing waves?
At least she made that day's visit to the beach...memorable!

Honey, grab me a Bud Lite out of the cooler, these Coronas are leaving a funny taste in my mouth....kinda yeasty....

Almond Joy -- let me respond to your points, please ...
1. the Corona commercials are not really based on humor. One of the best ones is where they imply that the guy uses a parrot to open the beer ... not really funny, but clever video.
2. There was no surprise - you can see her move her knee to the right after she grabs the bottle, I saw that one coming right down the middle of the plate.
I agree with you on point #5 ... the posting has got to go ... (btw - male union construction worker here, dob 1948).

collegiate at best...not worthy of your site, chuck. you can definitely do better. tasteless and boring, try again.

Need a definite "Remove" or "delete" request- not just a "you can do better.. opinion."
Anything can be "done better." that's how records are set.
We're still on hold here.

Chuckkkkkkkkkk,
Susan says it's "collegiate at best" well...guess what? That's why some of us tune in for your blog. I also must say that you always advise that on Testosterone Tuesday if it's not work friendly. This usually means that something sophomoric will post on the blog. We "testosterone males" appreciate this.

Since this practice was encouraged under Jocelyn Elders I say let it stand.

Ya, I agree with Donald... you wrap warnings around the "not work friendly" stuff so be warned.. this was a bit over the edge I admit.. could you place such warnings on anything about Al Gore too? That would be great...

Charles: It's your blog ,it's your call.In all fairness you do warn everybody to open at your own risk.Obviously not everything you post is for everyone but you do have a wide spectrum of readers that react to your stuff. We all cross the line occasionally and I'm no exception.

Uh ... can she really drink it that way? That's not fair - she could drink twice as much as him.......so not fair!

Chuck,
We can't let those few rule the world by God you post a warning it's not work friendly is there a level of not work friendly that I should be aware of ?
Or is this something about being politicaly correct.. gag!

Like you said not work friendly. I liked it. Like someone else said they knew what was happening when she moved her leg. But I was surprised, as I thought she was going to piss in it (as that is what Corona is anyways. If you put fruit in your beer you may as well drink Kool-Aid) and hand it back to him.

I'm outraged by this! Where was the "always drink responsibly" disclaimer at the end? That's just sending the wrong message to our youth!

Can she still get her nickel deposit back? I had to remove the limes once...
Posted by: F | July 10, 2006 7:36 AM
If the person doesn't want to see it, don't click. It did come with a warning so why the heck did she open it? A warning is pretty much a clear sign it will offend someone.
The problem lies with her or him. And they blame the commercial rather than the fact they opened something that was clearly indicated as being offensive.

Ah! yessss.. Coronas at Litte Beach! Life is good!

I like this comment...
"I find this type of shit on the Internet just plain discussing." If I thought the person had wit, I'd say that it was intended to be a pun. Alas, I think the word was supposed to be "disgusting."
I think it's a funny clip. Low budget, sure, but who cares?
