Back in the USSBoston

I will be doing a one hour show Mon thru Fri on WBOS in Boston starting Monday, January 30.

Chuck Boston Skyline

Latest Billboard Magazine (Wow- We're almost famous!) .....and I'll be featuring my nine favorite cuts from the best albums of a certain year every Monday through Friday at 9 AM on 92.9. I thought they should call it Nine at Nine, but they wanted Backtracks and I was -

Boy9Wait- This just in!!!**

**We can't use the name Backtracks, because it's already taken! Now what??!!
Okay, I am going to need your help, everybody. The show starts Monday, January 30, and we don't have a name for it. PLEASE email me with suggestions, and be sure to include your phone number and what state you are from, so if I do call you, I won't wake up your whole family.

Everybody's talking about the Chuck's Acid Flashback on Show 1
We found a website where you can buy it (see below)

Long John Baldry: Don't Lay No Boogie-Woogie on the King of Rock and Roll

How about "The Wayback Machine". Maybe we could find a little sound clip of Mr. Peabody(from the Bullwinkle show)and his boy Sherman.

Hum...that's probably got a big fat copyright. How about the 'Playback Machine'? Your brilliant audio guys could tweak all the sound bytes to fit.

What's wrong with The Big Mattress?

How about Charles Tracks back

It always cracked me up on BCN when you were a little slow on the uptake and we played "ONE STEP BEEEEEHIND!" How about "9 STEPS BEEEEHIND!"?

Hmm ... too tempting to not offer ...

"Amnesiac Detiorata"
"Old Man Walking"
"The Madcap Speaks"
"By Crackey..."
"Screw You Jerry, I'm Back"
"Back For More"
"Hello Cleveland!"

Ieh ... I give up ... 'nuff for now.

mattress memories

BOS has been promoting it (on air, print ads) as Back Tracks ... so how about tweeking the original ~ Back Tracking ?

How about "Radio Retro?"

How about "Nine Numbers with Charles" ?

Or the "Back Nine" (retired, playin golf in Hawaii...??)

I like mattress memories.

My suggestion is Boston Cream.

"Take Me Back" you could play McCartney from the begining of Revolution #9(end of Cry BabyCry on CD) as an intro.
"Can you take me back where I came from, can you take me back? Can you take me back where I came from, Brother can you take me baaack?

How about "TrackBack9" ?

Call it "Live from TMI"

Charles Laquidara's Partial Recall,
Chuck's Hot Flashbacks,
Chucked To the Nines,
The Whole Nine Songs,
Audio Nine-o-Mite,
The Laquidara Retrospective,
or
Charles Laquidara is
Off His Rocker
(sorry.. it wasn't supposed to be age-ist. It's an out-of-retirement thing, no?)

"my top nine that aged like wine"

I still like your suggestion "9 at 9"

or "Nine at 9"

L'ANNO DOLCE

"Nuggets"
"Nuggets at 9"
"Rock & Roll Diary"

"Let's play 9" or
"The Boston 9" or
"Sixty short of a party" or
"Java Jumpback" or
"The Bos Niner Diner" or
"9 steps back" or
"9 in the back corner" or
" Bos Party of 9" or
"Old Number Niner"

Hey, if you call it "Brokeback", you'll get listeners from Newton, Brookline, Cambridge and the South End.

How about " The Big Futon"

Hello, RANGOON!!

How about Mishigas Memories?

Can't wait to hear ya again, Chuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

9 Track
(1 better than an 8-track)

Number Nine

9 Pack

I vote for "Mattress Memories"

Its either that of "Welcome Back Carlos"
:-)

well, judging by today's HALF-PAGE ad in the Globe, the name has been decided ... Back Spins. eh

Are comments working again! woot!!!

Good Luck Tomorrow ... I'll be tuning in at 9 am (construction site rules be damned).

Track Backs

Chaz,

Break a leg! I'll be listening via the internet here in Florida.

How about "Revolutions #9"

.....you could start it with that voice on "Revolution #9" from the White Album, that goes: "Number 9, Number 9". Was that George Harrison who did that or one of the friends that worked for them? Like Mal Evans?

Maybe "Prime Chuck @ Nine"
or "The Soundtrack To Your Deteriorating Mind You Old Goats!"

No? Anyways, I can't wait to hear you back in Boston, in my car, no matter WHAT they decide to name it. Break a bone bra'

A little latebut how about Morning Brew

So...
it's Backspin, is it?.......
(Who knew.......)
Not me, that's for sure...
But I guess it don't matter what you call it- long as it's good. Well then...
Okay, now-
TO THE CITGO SIGN, EVERYBODY!!I

I think aside from XM radio, you are literally the only person who ever plays
Long John Baldry anymore. Nice!

I have a comment about the WBOS website if you care to tell someone: it
says "Charles returns to the airwaves weekday mornings at 9:00 am featuring 9
great songs from one great year - all commercial free!". Well, I certainly
heard commercials this morning.

Struff:
It really is 9 songs commercial free. The 10th song you heard (Long John Baldry) was after commercials. So there!

Welcome back. We have missed you since you went to Hawaii. Good luck and I will be listening.

How about Flash backs on the mattress.

What a daily morning treat this new BOS show is going to be Charles...Blasting out a my speakers- Just like you never left! Now to stream you in cyberspace on Mana'o for the afternoon. If you could please get a gig on nightline later I could effectively blow off the entire day and get absolutely nothing done! A dream come true. You rock on!

Great to hear your voice again Old Friend. There has been quite a buzz here in anticipation of the Show. The late morning commute will be much more enjoyable now. Hopefully you will be able to end the show with a nugget everyday. Call, if you need suggestions.

Hey Charles.

_year on the air

_Faves on the Waves

_^^^Hang Nine ^^^^^

Welcome Home !!!!!

Truly, Bob S.

Hey Charles.....great stuff!!!! Boston is rockin again....
Wicked pissa...

Sounding great Charles.

It's appointment radio.

"Oh, it's 9:00 AM, time for Charles."

Tell station management that later on in the day when I turn on the radio, it's still on 92.9 WBOS. They'd probably like to hear that.

I asked my wife about a show name, she says, "9 at 9."

I'll start gettign a list together for you for songs from 1979.

Hey Charles
Great Show on BOS. I really enjoy listening at work. How about calling your show Think Back Tracks!Keep up the good work.
Deb

Another idea! How about Rewind 9 at 9 or Blast from the Past
I'll keep thinking
Deb

how about a thinly vieled little walter flashback,"little chuckie's radio resurection" or the bush suck's hour

Cold Pizza....

Papa was a Rolling Stone - take me there in a hurry Charles. That was the best! I didn't live in Boston in '72, but St. Louis and KSHE brought the Temptations out of the Soul network and onto FM. I'm lovin this stuff, and I think you might inspire some more creativity on the airwaves back here as a result.

Wikid Pissa show taday! Really it was a fun week.
