*"The allegations in the soon-to-be published book by journalist David Walsh and Pierre Ballester, "L.A. Confidential, The Secrets of Lance Armstrong," that he has doped have been largely ignored by the media, which chooses to focus on images of him in the yellow jersey rather than the seedy possibilities, despite testimony in the book from former Armstrong aide, Emma O'Reilly that the rider asked her to dispose of used needles, and give him makeup to cover injections on his right arm.."
**"Giambi called the products he obtained from Anderson undetectable steroids known as the clear and the cream. The clear is a liquid drug administered under the tongue a few drops at a time. The cream was described as a testosterone-based balm rubbed onto the body, the Chronicle reported..."

If all this true and I think it is, iy makes me feel better knowing I did as well as I did in my swimming career with only effort as desire as my drug.

YOu know, I find it hard to believe that someone who was treated for cancer and knows the effect of steroids (also used in many cancer treatments) would expose their body to a chemotherapeutic agent off protocol.

Exposing oneself to a chemotherapeutic agent could possibly diminish your chances of a successful reinduction to a remission, if, God forbid, you relapse or come back with a secondary malignancy, not impossible after treatment of a brain tumor.
Armstrong seems like an intelligent guy and also, someone who wants to live and beat the odds of cancer.
I'm not so sure I'd believe this story.

I say he is inocent until proven guilty. As a six time Tour winner and with the whole French nation trying to catch him the fact is that he is under tremendous scrutiny. If he really was doing something he would have been caught by now.

I agree with cisco ... they were (and still are) out to get him, but never caught him doing anything ... I'll hold him innocent until proven otherwise.
