Great article! Charles, you should write your own memoir like Clinton did.
Speaking of Johnny Carson, I cried a lot when he retired in '92. I cried a lot again when I heard he died. He's the one who got me interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting. He started in radio before he went on to do television.
If fame is determined by name recognition and anecdotes, you will be famous for a long time to come. A whole generation of New Englanders will never forget the outrageous stunts, the humor, the political commitment, the integrity, and the great music mix.
What do you think it means that Shell is one of the few oil companies to give money to the Democratic Party?
Charles you are still the best thing to happen to radio. Every morning I hear Lance on zlx I feel the loss of your guidance, Steve just don't have it. Lances humor is. The closest is Stern and he lacks you insight on humanity. I guess radio will never be the same, as with the passing of Jonny TV lost it's inovator, we have lost ours.
