My picks: The best humor, web-sites and videos culled from cyberspace • An occasional song or two • Your comments and opinions • Entertaining controversy from a parallax perspective
Hi Charles - it was a delight to find your blog. I just lost 30 years and am in my 20's again living on the Fens listening to you in the AM. WOW you're better than Botox!
anyway - one thing I am doing to contribute to the left right dialogue is sharing thoughts with service people in Iraq on their blogs and now this I recently posted in my blog:
www.adoptaplatoon.org has lists of soldiers that do not have someone to write to them and send them packages. You can sign up at their site to get a soldier's info for you to be a support for him or her.
They are short staffed so it takes a while to get processed. I just got my phone call and it could be another 3 weeks till I get my soldiers info. If you'd like to do this sooner is better as the holiday season can be very lonely anywhere but especially far from home and in a war.
I think we learned from Vietnam that even if we are against a war, we add to the aggression when we blame our soldiers. go to some Miblogs and read the caring that soldiers can have for us and for Iraqi's. Many of them are trying to make this work and it is making a difference to tell them we care back.
