Singer Steven (Cat) Demeter (Yusuf) Giorgiou (Stevens) Islam is wicked pissed!

Holy Bouzoukies!

BUT- (assume, if you will, that it was an actual terrorist aboard)- here's the really scary part: "Airline agents conduct similar checks before flights depart." officials said. It is still not clear why Islam was not flagged until well after the plane was in the air and vulnerable to an actual terrorist.
and now the finger-pointing begins.

Vengeful Cat Stevens vows to Resume Singing to punish US
Cat Stevens Broadcasts threat on Al-Jazeera
Hours after being refused entry into the United States, 1970’s recording artist Cat Stevens lashed out at the U.S. government today, vowing to resume his recording career “immediately” as the ultimate act of revenge.
Appearing on the Arabic-language network Al-Jazeera, a visibly angry Mr. Stevens threatened to attack the U.S. with the full force of his insipid folk-rock music.
Brandishing an acoustic guitar, the erstwhile pop star warned that “no one in America would be safe from my insidious melodies” before launching into a spirited rendition of the song “Peace Train.”
A spokesman for the CIA said today that experts need more time to study the chilling video, but that it appears to be authentic: “We do not believe that anyone but the real Cat Stevens remembers the lyrics to ‘Peace Train.’”
On the campaign trail, Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry blasted President Bush for the Cat Stevens incident, saying that the President’s reckless actions had resuscitated an irritating singer’s long-dormant recording career.
"When George Bush took office, Cat Stevens was not a problem,” Mr. Kerry told a rally in Akron, Ohio. “Through a successful policy of containment, his music had mainly been limited to classic rock stations. But now, thanks to George Bush’s misguided decision to provoke Cat Stevens, we may be subjected to renditions of not only ‘Peace Train,’ but also ‘Morning Has Broken’ and ‘Moonshadow’ for years and years to come,” Mr. Kerry said.

He should have stayed Cat Stevens. Then maybe some of us would care.

Cat has done us all a favor, though it wasn't his intention, by showing how PATHETIC the Bush administration is at "homeland security." How the hell did this guy get on the plane? But beyond that, for this guy to be labelled a "security risk" because he gave money to causes that we don't like is really el-lamo. I would like to see the charities they're talking about and the "terrorists" with whom he has cavorted. Do you know where all the money goes to the charities you give to? And beyond that, surely, no one thought this Cat Stevens, Irving Muslim, whatever he's calling himself was going to blow up the plane? He was screened like everyone else...once they knew he was on board they could have watched him if that was necessary...which it really wasn't. Diverting the plane to Bangor Maine was idiotic and probably more dangerous than having that guy sitting in his seat. The plane should have been allowed to land in Washington and then he could have been sent back. If I was on a plane with Cat Stevens and trying to get to Washington and diverted to D.C. because the "dangerous terrorist" Cat Stevens was on my plane, I'd be PISSED OFF......
We can't travel to Cuba, and soon we will be suspect for saying things the Bushies don't like. Airlines had to turn over all passenger flight records to the government this month so they know all about who you are and what you do.
Soon there will be a machine that can see through your clothing so the screener can see your weiner....that's coming next. I read it in the paper...
Wake up!!!!!!!!! It's 1984!!!!!

Mikey,
We promise not to laugh at your weiner....
: )

Hey Mikey I think you are correct why should we care if he gave to a charity or two.
He only gave money to Hamas and the mastermind of the 1993 world trade center bombing.
I mean Hamas is harmless and come to think about so was the world trader center bombing, no harm done.
MIKEY GET REAL!!!

To sb:
Not that I doubt your "facts," sb, but I do question them a bit. First of all, do you know that Cat Stevens actually gave money to Hamas? Or is it more likely that he is in agreement with some of Hamas' beliefs (Namely, that Israel is an illegal country and has bulldozed its way through the mideast, disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of Palestineans, and keeping them from empowering themselves as a people, as an entity, and as a country?)
Second- your use of a throw-away "trick" word: the word, "only"... Can you really say that Stevens ONLY gave money to Hamas? and not to children's hospitals, and displaced person shelters and to the Red Cross or United Way or the Benevolent Order of Jehovas for Allah?
I think not.
So, YOU "GET REAL" and cut using the Republican bullshit lines, okay?
By the way, I do agree that Cat Stevens should be barred from this country and thrown in jail- but for his music, not his political or philosophical beliefs.

Almond Joy,
Why is Israel an illegal country? And what makes a country "legal"? Italy was "invented" by the Greeks after a short boat ride? Is the United States a "legal" country or not? How about Canada, any country in Central or South America? Please expound.

Hey Charles,
What happened to the previous posts? Didn’t like them so you deleted them? This won’t happen when I’m running the Blog. I’m still taking over on Nov 3rd, right?

Is anyone really surprised that Mikey thinks it's still 1984? By Supporting Hamas and supporting other Islama Fascist Orginizations, the "Catman", lost his USA privlidges. Homeland Security has a way to go, however it did keep his terrorist supporting ass out of this Country!

1984 never happened.... and it won't under George W. Bush! Trust me I know from whence I speak.

Danny:
Is there solid evidence that Cat Stevens (aka Yosuf Islam) contributed directly to Hamas or to any other terrorist organization? Or is this another smear campaign?
A ligther note from Letterman:
"The Dept. of Homeland Security have captured Cat Stevens and are hot on the trail of Dan Fogelberg"
