Place your bets

osama

I was talking to a Republican friend a few days ago, and he said that the only way he would vote for Bush again was, "if they captured Osama Bin Laden." I told him there are reports that they already have captured him, and are just waiting for the most opportune time to make the announcement. He laughed at me, and said that was "liberal paranoia".... I suppose he's right. But- just for fun...How's about we all click here, and play a little Osama Bin Lotto

After that latest, shameless Republican stunt of scrambling NY City for a 3 year old Terrorist reference, at the tax payers expense, of course. I'm betting on 2 and a half months of Toni Award winning theatrics by the GOP. Ferreting out Osama, just before the November election? Yes! Without a doubt! By the way, its all clear and safe to go back to work now, all you financial pawns. WHEW! That was a close one, hunh?

LadyARTIST,
They already have OBL and the WMD's they are in an underground location in Kurdistan. Should see the light of day sometime after the 15th of October.....

Can anyone guaranee if I were to contact osamalotto@hotmail.com that nohting funny would magically happen to my credit, legal status, personal history on any account of anykind, or voter registration? Call me an alarmist, but that's how much I don't trust the present admiistration. Assholes.
Thanks for getting my dander up again, Charles. If
f**cking Bush successufuly re-elected that will add a whole new dimension to "hell in a hand basked"

Your Republican friend is a bonehead. Even supposing there is zero political influence in the annoucement of such a capture (and given the release of arrest news on the evening of Kerry's speech, I don't assume such a thing), why should the arrest of Osama reflect well on the presdient and not, say, the special forces unit that grabs him?

David:
Maybe it shouldn't... But it always DOES reflect on the president. If you are naive enough to think that, when Osama is "captured" two weeks before the election, the American people are going to give credit to the special forces unit that gets him -and not give credit to Bush- and that the public will also figure out that it was a politically-timed ploy, then you may be the "bonehead" here. Who was it that said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people" Was it Mao Tse Dung? or Will Rogers.

4 more years and maybe that will give the Dems enough time to find a qualified candidate.

Doug:

Why bother? Its not like the Republicans got one!!! :-)
