Who do they love?
Al Qaeda plans a large-scale attack on the United States "in an effort to disrupt the democratic process" before November's elections, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said.
"There will be a possible al Qaeda attack to influence U.S. elections", administration officials tell CNN.
Question of the week:
If you were the al Qaeda, who would you want to win the November election?

I hear Osama is contributing to the Kerry/Edwards ticket and will be performing with Jackson Browne at the NYC fundraiser.

I don't think there will be any attacks prior to the election. The bad guys know Bush and they know he will respond. They don't know Kerry's response. Does anybody?

I'm thinking they want Bush re-elected because he is so HATED by the Muslim world for his presidential actions that he makes a great recruiting tool for Al Qaeda and generic terrorist wannabes. A new administration might just be able to do some major world damage control. So the DNC is the next likely target*. Sorry Johns K & E (FBI if you are reading this...I am only putting forth an opinion and intend to vote straight Democrat in the upcoming election.)
* News reports up here in MA describe the incredible lengths that Home Land Security is going to, to protect the delegates while in Boston. Small airports are being closed, everyone planning to travel within 60 miles of Boston are advised that they will be subject to searches. The roadways are becoming spotted with shinny black vans, with darkened windows, driven by stone-faced suits. Are they just being cautious? Or does someone know something already?.

al-Quaeda will want Bush to win. He is such a perfect villain that he can provide four more years of justifiable hate and chaos.

#1. Ralph Nader
#2. George Bush
#3. It doesn't matter to them at all.

Ladyartist444 and DB,
You couldn’t be more wrong. The Islama Fascist’s regardless of who is elected are not going to end their Jihad. They hate us and our way of life, it’s goes beyond our leaders. However; they would think Bush is a greater threat to their goals, as he means what he says. Furthermore do you think if Kerry is elected "Old Europe" will suddenly be willing to stop bullets for Americans or will they continue their policy of appeasement? Your obvious denial of the fact we are in a protracted WAR against Islama Fascism is mind boggling.
Whoever is elected Islama Fascist’s won’t be sitting around the Campfire, eating smores holding hands and singing Kumbaya(sic?) with Jesse Jackson, Jimmy Carter et al!

Bush, of course! Too many fatties if you think differently. Bush keeps the people divided maybe better than ANY President in History. They don't care about the philosophy of "George would strike back", he will strike anywhere there is oil and anywhere his daddy has business concerns.

Hey Willy Weed,
I guess we are going to find out just how divided if at all the country is in a little over 100 days. In the meantime stay rightous....if you know what I mean:-)

Look no futher than Spain. Al Qaeda's goal for the outcome of that election was met and they declared victory!! The conservative govt was removed (even with a lead in the poles)and the the Left moved in and they promised to get out of Iraq. With people like Ted Kennedy leading the anti American chants, you could save $100 Mil on security at the DNC this summer because they dont bomb their supporters.
