Marcia Masters was a mainstay on my radio show for several years. To all my friends who may have been acquainted with, or known Marcia from the Big Mattress morning show on WBCN, I wanted to share the sad news. This e-mail message arrived on Friday:

"For Everything There Is A Season"
I am so sorry to tell you that my dear cousin Marcia lost her battle with cancer yesterday. It came so quickly. Just this past weekend, the family was at her home; she rallied, she was singing, she was strong and fighting. We were so hopeful that she would have more time than 'they' expected. Four days later, she took a turn for the worse. She passed away very peacefully with her mom and husband Bob at her side. She looked Bob right in the eyes as she took her last breath. She was not in any pain.
Here is a link to the info. from The Boston Globe Online.
Thank you all for your kind words and support.
Debbie Branco (Marcia's cousin)
For those of you who weren't familiar with her work, many of her bits are on the Big Mattress website.
Check out Marcia's personal website as well.
You were one of a kind, Marcia. The entertainment world will miss you.

Took the time a week or two back to sample your work. Your life was that work and sadly they are both gone.
